Exercise: negatives in present simple.

Write the negative form in present simple of the affirmative sentences below. You can use contacted or full forms.

Example:
You like going jogging.

Answer:
You do not like going jogging.
or,
You don't like going jogging.

Idea: you can do this exercise twice; first with full forms and then with contracted forms.

1) You don't like going camping. / You do not like.

2) I don't want to watch films at the cinema. / I do not want to watch.

3) He doesn't play tennis with his friends. / He does not play.

4) She hasn't got a new car. / She doesn't have. / She has not got. / She does not have.

5) She doesn't have a drink with her colleagues after work. / She does not have.

6) It doesn't get very hot here in summer. / It does not get.

7) The birds don't come into our garden. / The birds do not come.

8) My baby brother doesn't cry at night. / My baby brother does not cry.

9) He doesn't do the washing up after dinner. / He does not do.

10) My wife and I don't swim at the local pool. / My wife and I do not swim.
